  • What is IT Recycling?

Information technology (IT) waste, or simply put “electronic waste,” is a serious problem in the United States. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has identified certain electronics, such as cathode ray tubes (CRT) as hazardous waste. Many electronics are recyclable, reusable, or even resalable. Some can be refurbished and others scrapped for parts. But many are just tossed into the trash in households across America creating tremendous waste, especially considering the fact that the average American household now owns about 24 electronic products.
  • Recycling Electronics- Why Should I Care?

Consumer electronics contribute greatly to the waste in the United States. This included TVs, printers, computers, cell phones, various peripherals, home phones, audio equipment, etc. The average American household contains 24 electronic devices and, as everyone knows, technology items are regularly being replaced by newer, faster, more feature-filled models. This creates an enormous amount of waste.
