AC DC Adapters

AC DC Adapters

In the early days of human harnessing electricity, everything was done by direct current. Fortunately Nicola Tesla challenged the system and showed that Alternating Current was a better way. Since batteries operate using DC however, battery powered devices require direct current when plugged in, so adapters are made to convert power into usable DC.

It’s critical that you match your device with an adapter with the correct voltage, polarity, and tip size. Failure to do so can result in damage to your device and possible safety hazards. This information can generally be found on a label on the device, and if not, you can get it from the manufacturer.
